Share Your Story in the New Video, OUCH! Your Silence Hurts

Last year we highlighted the ground-breaking OUCH! That Stereotype Hurts book and video-based training program.

This year, the author of OUCH!, Leslie Aguilar, is producing a new video, OUCH! Your Silence Hurts that will encourage the silent bystander to become active in speaking up on behalf of respect.  Leslie is currently soliciting inspiring quotes, stories or examples of speaking up against bias and stereotypes for use in her upcoming new video.

If you have an example of how you (or others) have spoken up as an ALLY on behalf of others, please contact Leslie at Aguilar@TheDiversityCenter.com or 407-859-1191. And, if you have encountered stereotypes or other demeaning comments and did NOT speak up, but would like advice on how to do so in the future, Leslie would like to hear from you as well. Indicate whether or not she may utilize your name along with your story. You can request that Leslie change the story to ensure the privacy of individuals involved.

Please note that by submitting your story you are granting permission for use in Leslie’s new video or newsletter. Not all submissions will be used, but Leslie will acknowledge receipt via email.
