Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley Honors B&L

November 1, 2002 - Bausch & Lomb received the Corporate Leadership Award from the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley today. The award was presented to B&L for "making significant strides in advancing the workplace for its gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered employees."

Mark Sieczkarek, senior vice president and president - Americas Region, accepted the award on behalf of the company during a luncheon ceremony in downtown Rochester. "We have a strong commitment to diversity at Bausch & Lomb," Mark told the attendees. "In order to succeed in such a diverse world, we need a similarly diverse group of talented people, working in an environment that allows them to freely apply their talents, to best serve our customers and deliver the greatest value to them."
