Bausch
& Lomb Implements Diversity Dashboard - New Diversity
Tracking Model
Bausch
& Lomb recently implemented, a new diversity tracking
model, the Diversity Dashboard. It is used to communicate
to Senior Management. The objective of the Diversity Dashboard
is to report the status towards the achievement of the company's
established diversity goals over a three-year period.
While
the goals are to be attained over a three-year period, the
report format is designed to show progress on a more immediate
quarterly basis compared to the baseline at the beginning
of the year. The dashboard has helped set the expectation
that each business unit manage its vacancies and hiring process
to identify a diverse slate of candidates for consideration.
Senior Management will review the report quarterly and be
held accountable for the results.
While
this is not a new concept for Bausch & Lomb, it is one
that shows that the company is prepared to increase its emphasis
on diversity as a business strategy. No longer is it okay
to just measure diversity. Bausch & Lomb recognizes that
companies must go beyond that, the Diversity Dashboard is
just one tool the Company is using to drive the changes needed.
