Programs at St. John Fisher College
October
23, 2002-St. John Fisher College has appointed Arlette Miller-Smith
to the newly-created position of Dean of the Office of Multicultural
Affairs and Diversity Programs, reporting to the Provost of
the College.

Her new role as Dean recognizes the importance Fisher places

and Dean of the College, in a memo to faculty and staff.
Her
responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
assisting in the recruitment and retention of faculty, staff,
and students from underrepresented groups; developing programs
to address the needs of students from different backgrounds
and identities; participating in curriculum development in
the areas of diversity and multiculturalism; and fostering
