Aetna Named To LATINA Style Magazine's Top 50 List
For the seventh consecutive year, LATINA Style magazine has named Aetna to the "LATINA Style 50" list, calling it one of the best American companies for professional Hispanic women to work for. More than 600 corporations were included in the extensive search for the 2004 list, which recognized 50 companies. Each was evaluated based on the number of their Latina executives and board members, as well as their mentoring programs, educational opportunities, alternative work policies, dependent/child care support, employee benefits and other issues that LATINA Style readers identified as most important to them in the workplace.independent agencies serving over 61,000 children and adults with disabilities annually. The Center serves more than 5,000 people each year throughout Western and Central New York and has an annual operating budget of $11,000,000.

Commenting on the annual search, Robert Bard, president and CEO of the magazine, said, "For the first time, we are seeing an increase of Latinas in executive positions within corporate America." Hispanics are the fastest-growing population in the United States. Hispanic women in the U.S workforce exceed 5 million and their numbers are rising. The companies listed in the 2004 LATINA Style 50 employ 166,000 Latinas, which represents 5.6 percent of the total workforce of all the selected companies. LATINA Style addresses the needs and concerns of contemporary Latina business owners and Latina professional working women in the United States.
