Kodak Awards $200,000 in Scholarships to Students

Every year, Eastman Kodak Company recognizes Rochester, New York students who will pursue careers in a technical field of interest to the company. Applicants must have a B or better average and score at least 1100 on their SAT. Five students are the winners of Kodak scholarships in 2004. Each is awarded a total of $40,000.

Kodak-Asia Pacific Exchange (APEX) Scholarship
Karena Tyan - A student at Webster Thomas, Karena will attend Massachusetts Institute of technology and major in computer science.

Kodak-Native American Council at Kodak (NACK) Scholarship
Neil Freer (Oneida Nation) - Neil, who graduated from Irondequoit High School, will pursue a career in computer science at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Kodak Rochester-Area Scholarship
Andrew Courtney - A graduate of Fairport High School, Andrew will attend Cornell University and pursue a degree in electrical engineering.

Kodak-Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers Scholarship
Jeremy Galindo - A student from Gates-Chili High School, Jeremy will attend Rochester Institute of Technology and study computer engineering.

Kodak-Urban League of Rochester Scholarship
Tracy Thomas - A graduate of Wilson Magnet High School, Tracy will major in software engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology.
