Joong Hyun Joins Bausch & Lomb as Director of Strategy, Global Supply Chain

Dwain L. Hahs, corporate vice president and senior vice president - Global Supply Chain, announces that Joong ("Joon") Hyun has joined the Company as director of strategy - Global Supply Chain. Joong reports to Dwain and is based in Rochester.

In this position, Joong is responsible for leading key initiatives and performing analysis to improve Global Supply Chain operations. He will provide expertise to GSC leadership in assessing proposed strategic projects to ensure a positive impact on the Company.

Joong joins Bausch & Lomb from Tefen, a global consulting firm, where he served as a managing director responsible for leading the firm's lean and six-sigma practices. As a consultant to Bausch & Lomb, Joong was instrumental in the launch of Global Supply Chain's lean initiative, LASER Transformation. Prior professional experiences include supply chain management at KPMG, strategic business unit controller at Ford and design engineer at Westinghouse.

Joong holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Northwestern University in Chicago, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Joong is a certified six-sigma black belt.
