Kodak Offers Pagers to Hearing-impaired Employees
As of October 2002, Eastman Kodak Company made pagers available to deaf and hard-of-hearing employees in Rochester. The pagers have capabilities to directly communicate with site security for turnstile entry and exit, to receive emergency evacuation notifications, and to access Lotus Notes.

Using a miniature keyboard, the employee simply sends a message via this pager to Kodak Park Security or their supervisor and receives a direct response. "This new program results from a pilot that was conducted and is another way of maintaining a winning and inclusive environment at Kodak", said Patti Weissinger, Manager-EOE Programs & Outreach, Global Diversity Office.
