GRDC Underwriting TV Special, “Rochester United in Diversity” March 17 on WOKR-TV 13

The Greater Rochester Diversity Council is underwriting an hour-long special program of Many Voices Many Visions, called "Rochester United in Diversity." The show airs Sunday March 17 on WOKR-TV 13 at 9-10 a.m.

Guests include Dr. Emil Homerin, Chairman of the Department of Religion and Classics at the University of Rochester, Dr. Ali Nahaas of the Rochester Islamic Center, and GRDC members, Clay Osborne, Arlette Miller Smith, Glenda Lusk and Mike Streeter.

The program will discuss the important role diversity plays in the workplace as well as the need in our community to better understand Islam and our Muslim colleagues and neighbors in the aftermath of September 11. World Beat Musicians from Trinidad, Turkey, Peru and the U. S will perform the show's theme.
