Program Provides Disability Etiquette & Resources
for Recruiting, Hiring and Training Employees with Disabilities
The Lunch and Learn Workforce Training Program, a free
one-hour presentation, provides an overview of disability
etiquette and resources for recruiting, hiring and retaining
employees with disabilities. The program's goal is to
remove barriers and dispel misconceptions regarding
recruiting, interviewing, and hiring people with disabilities.
The
program is for company leadership, human resource professionals,
hiring managers, supervisors and all interested employees.
It
is made possible in part through funding from the Monroe
County Office of Mental Health, Innovative Vocational
Services Project and through the thirty agencies that
comprise the Rochester Area Employment Network.
The
program may be scheduled at your company or organization
worksite during lunchtime at any date of your choice.
Other times of day - such as at staff meetings - can
also be easily accommodated. Box lunches are provided.
