Hispanics Encouraged to Apply for Leadership Training
Applications Due July 11--Available for United Way's Hispanic Leadership Development Program

The United Way of Greater Rochester NY Hispanic Leadership Development Program (HLDP) is seeking applicants for its fall session.

HLDP is an award-winning development program that provides leadership, communication, and professional skills training to local Hispanics with leadership potential.

The goal of HLDP is to identify, train, and promote local Hispanics for board and volunteer leadership positions. The program strives to ensure that local Hispanics are well-represented on the many boards and committees of organizations throughout greater Rochester.

Local Hispanics are encouraged to apply for this innovative training program. Classes are October 4 – 6 and 11 – 13. Class size is limited. All participants must receive release time from work to participate. A minimal participation fee of $199 will apply to all those selected to participate.

For an application or for more information, contact Iveth Reynolds at United Way at (585) 242-6433 or by e-mail at iveth.reynolds@uwrochester.org. All applications must be received by July 11, 2005.

As an organization of donors, United Way of Greater Rochester motivates and organizes people to work for a better life for all by meeting our community’s most important human care needs. It does this through a unified, community-wide effort to mobilize resources — dollars, volunteers, in kind support, and public concern — and applies them in ways that best serve the needs of the greater Rochester region.
