The YMCA of Greater Rochester Awards Diversity Scholarship
 The YMCA of Greater Rochester is pleased to recognize Lamar Crawford with the 2005 Enhancement of Diversity Scholarship. A senior at Webster Thomas High School, Lamar has been actively involved in the YMCA Youth & Government Program for two years, and recently received an award as Outstanding Attorney at the program’s New York State Conference in Albany. Lamar will also receive the YMCA's Youth Volunteer of the Year Award from the Southwest Branch at the YMCA's Annual Meeting on May 25, 2005.
Outside of the YMCA, Lamar is an Editorial Writer on the Democrat and Chronicle’s Teen Council, is a Youth Group Leader at his church, and is captain of his school’s varsity tennis team. He was recently accepted to the School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University, where he plans to pursue a law degree. |
