Kodak Selects Warren Wisnewski for CEO Diversity Award

Eastman Kodak Company announced that Warren Wisnewski, general manager Equipment Manufacturing and vice president Greater Asia Region, is this year’s recipient of the CEO Diversity Award from Chairman and CEO Daniel A. Carp.

The Kodak CEO Diversity Award annually recognizes a Kodak executive who demonstrates exemplary leadership and embraces the mindset and behaviors that lead to a diverse and inclusive work group. Candidates are judged on their ability to leverage diversity and inclusion to achieve business objectives, and maximize the potential of individuals and the organization.

Wisnewski has developed high-quality local talent in China to help grow Kodak’s equipment manufacturing operations. He was lauded for encouraging diversity and inclusion by hiring women and diverse regional candidates, mentoring female employees for leadership opportunities in the organization, and leading employee activities to celebrate Kodak’s Winning and Inclusive Culture.

“Diversity and inclusion require leadership from managers at every level of our company,” Carp said. “ Warren’s approach to diversity really stems from his willingness to immerse himself in the language and culture of China, and creating an atmosphere in which employees feel valued, recognized, and energized. By contributing to this winning and inclusive culture, Warren has helped achieve a ten-fold growth in our equipment manufacturing business in China.”

Co-workers praised Wisnewski’s efforts, noting his support of the China affiliate of the Womens’ Forum of Kodak Employees, his development and promotion of Chinese women into managerial positions, and mentoring employees looking to develop their business skills. He has organized celebratory events including dinners, karaoke events, scavenger hunts, teamwork hikes, and other activities to help instill workers with a sense of teamwork and consistent focus on winning.

Carp created the CEO Diversity Award in 1998 with then-Chairman and CEO George Fisher. Twenty-two Kodak managers from Kodak’s worldwide operations were nominated for this year’s CEO Diversity Award. Since 1998, nine Kodak managers (including multiple winners in several years) have been recognized with the CEO Diversity Award.
