Workshop Synopsis
People with disabilities are engaged in the
workforce in larger numbers than ever. It is critical
that HR professionals are the organizational experts
filling two very different roles when bringing people
with disabilities into their workforce.
The recruitment / hiring phase requires all employees
involved in the interview process are prepared to successfully
accommodate disabilities. Retaining people with disabilities
results from successfully tapping their talents and
helping them become a part of the organization.
Co-workers and supervisors who have not worked with
a person with disabilities look to their HR professional
for guidance and support as they integrate their new
staff member into their organization.
