RIT's Commission for Promoting Pluralism Issues Call for Proposals for 4th Annual Expressions of Diversity Conference
The
Commission on Promoting Pluralism invites members of
the RIT and Greater Rochester community to participate
in the 4th Annual Expressions of Diversity Conference,
April 25 - 29, 2005. The theme of the conference focuses
on the past, present, and future of the pluralistic
journey that we all travel. The conference theme will
be expressed through presentations, workshops, exhibits,
and performances. The three main threads within the
conference theme are consistent with the RIT 175th anniversary
theme.
EDUCATION:
inclusion, awareness, scholarship,
research, history
EXPLORATION: artifacts, values, beliefs, traditions, behaviors INNOVATION: dance, music, fine art, poetry, outreach community
Sharing your scholarly perspectives regarding diversity
and/or your perceptions of your academic, personal,
community, and corporate journey into diversity is strongly
encouraged. Submissions should include a ~250-word summary
of your event, a description of session format (lecture,
workshop, panel, etc), the duration (60 or 90 minutes),
and a short bio (~50-word) of the presenter(s).
Submissions must be sent via email or snail mail no later than Friday, December 17, 2004.
