GRDC Members Aetna and Kodak Sponsor 'Out&Equal' Conference

Tennis legend Billie Jean King was among the keynote speakers at the 14th annual "Out&Equal" conference held last month in Phoenix. Aetna, and Eastman Kodak, corporate sponsors of the event, joined other large corporate sponsors, including IBM, Intel, SC Johnson, Raytheon and Motorola to host nearly 800 supporters for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality in the workplace. King has spearheaded the cause of equal treatment for all people in her career and continues to speak out for equality.

Aetna supports these corporate efforts and has been recognized for the third consecutive year by Human Rights Campaign Foundation, a Washington-based advocacy group. Once again, Aetna achieved a 100 percent score on the corporate equality index, which measures treatment of GLBT employees, consumers and investors. Aetna is one of many companies that offer domestic partner benefits to same-sex partners and their households.
