Profiles in Diversity Journal Presents International Innovation in Diversity Awards to Bausch & Lomb and Kodak at GRDC Meeting
Profiles in Diversity Journal publisher Jim Rector, came to Rochester September 23 to personally present the magazine’s first annual International Innovation in Diversity Awards to two of the top winners, Bausch & Lomb and Eastman Kodak Company. The award was presented at the GRDC’s monthly council meeting held at Bausch & Lomb this month and was accepted by representatives of Kodak and Bausch & Lomb. It recognizes and supports companies that are investing, developing and fostering diversity initiatives that bring the entire company into alignment with the values of a diverse business culture.

After careful review of the applications and supporting data, this year’s top three winners are:
• BMO Financial Group / Toronto, Ontario (BMO)
• Bausch & Lomb / Rochester, N.Y. (BOL)
• Eastman Kodak Co. / Rochester, N.Y. (EK)

Rounding out the top 10 winners are: Booz Allen Hamilton,
Cisco Systems (CSCO), Ford Motor Co. (F), Georgia Power
(GPWEP) , MGM MIRAGE (MGG), New York Life, and Waste
Management (WMI).

Honorable mentions were awarded to Merck (MRK) and Sodexho (SDX).

Bausch & Lomb, a world leader in eye health with about 11,500 employees in more than 50 countries, is constantly searching for ways to improve its communications. Using the latest broadband technology and incorporating streaming video, the company launched Bausch & Lomb TV last year.

Eastman Kodak Co., uses its Global Diversity and Inclusion Personal Qualitative Factors Assessment (QFA) to allow executive leaders (the top 14 in the organization) to capture and document their level of engagement and participation in diversity and inclusion.
