Fueled by a passion for authentic employee engagement, John brings more than 20 years of business and culture-change work to his new role. John has been an internal coach, learning consultant and facilitator of leadership development programs throughout Lifetime Healthcare companies.
Before joining Excellus, John served as a staff organizational development consultant with one of the country’s leading change and diversity firms, the Kaleel Jamison Consulting Group, Inc. There, he worked on creating high performance and inclusive cultures at Fed Ex Kinko’s, Whirlpool Corporation, Kellogg, Verizon, Conoco Philips, Kodak, the Harford, United Airlines and other companies.
John has also held leadership positions as VP of the Multicultural Marketing Division of Roberts Communications and as Deputy Director of Development for the Health Association of Rochester and Monroe County.
He is a former Rockefeller Foundation Fellow with the Center for Leadership in Action at NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service.
John holds a BA from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MA in Organizational Communication from the State University of New York Collage at Brockport. He lives in Penfield, NY, with his wife, Nydia Padilla Rodriguez, and has one adult daughter, Melony Rodriguez.
