Hiigh school students in Monroe County, New York are encourage to enter the Rev. James Rice Memorial Essay Contest Sponsored by the InterFaith Forum of Rochester. It is for students in grades 9-12 in Monroe County, NY.
Write a 2 to 3 page essay about developing understanding and cooperation among people from diverse backgrounds in the Rochester area.
Entries are due March 30, 2009
Prizes: $150 First Prize: $75 Second Prize; $50 Third Prize, and up to eight honorable mention prizes at $25 each
