ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Bausch & Lomb's continued commitment to attracting, developing and retaining a diverse employee base has resulted in a series of accolades from prestigious national organizations and publications, including the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, LatinaStyle magazine, and Hispanic Business magazine.

'We work diligently to ensure that every employee feels accepted and appreciated. Our employee base is diverse by design, as we need employees who understand the variety of markets in which we do business,' said Clayton Osborne, vice president, Human Resources, for Bausch & Lomb. 'National recognition reflects that our continued commitment to diversity generates positive results for the company, our customers and the communities in which we operate.'

Corporate Equality Index: Perfect Score - Six Years Running
For the sixth consecutive year, Bausch & Lomb has achieved a perfect score in the annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a nationwide business ranking sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The CEI rates companies on how they treat gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.  The criteria include domestic-partner benefits that go beyond health insurance, such as retirement benefits and personal leave policies. Bausch & Lomb is among 195 businesses in the United States that received the 100 percent ranking.

Hispanic Business Diversity Elite List:  Top 60
Finally, Bausch & Lomb was one of 60 companies included in Hispanic Business' Diversity Elite 2008 list, recognizing the best companies for Hispanic employees. Thirty variables were used to determine ranking including hiring, promotion, marketing and diversity goals.

LatinaStyle: 50 Best Companies List - Honorable Mention
Bausch & Lomb has also been given an honorable mention in Latina Style's 2008 list of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to work for in the United States.
