Rochester, NY (September 3, 2008)—James M. Stewart has begun his role as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Rochester/Syracuse Region (PPRSR).
Stewart, who most recently served as President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, brings extensive experience in health care, health insurance, HMO and non-profit management to PPRSR.
“I most look forward to learning the role PPRSR plays in the communities it serves,” Stewart says of his new position, “Gaining a solid understanding of the agency is a priority in order to strategically plan for the future.”
Throughout his career, Stewart has been deeply involved in volunteer leardership roles in professional and trade organizations, including several with Planned Parenthood of America. He has served as a volunteer on more than 30 governing boards of health care, social service, church, educational and arts organizations, including a Planned Parenthood affiliate.
Stewart holds a B.A. degree from SUNY Albany.
