Kodak Names John Bryant Recipient of CEO Diversity Award

John Bryant, Director of Corporate Engineering and Vice President, Office of the Chief Technical Officer, at Eastman Kodak Company, has earned Kodak’s highest recognition for achievement in diversity and inclusion. Chairman and CEO Antonio Perez and Chief Diversity Officer Essie Calhoun presented Bryant with the company’s CEO Diversity Award at a company leadership meeting on October 1.

Introduced in 1998, the Award recognizes an executive’s leadership in supporting the company’s Global Diversity and Inclusion mission.  That mission emphasizes driving shareholder value by integrating diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the business, so that Kodak’s employees and external business allies are fully engaged to help connect with diverse market segments.

Nominations for the award are submitted by Kodak employees, functional operations, employee networks or diversity councils.  Bryant’s heartfelt nomination -- which was supported by a dozen individuals and network groups -- described him as “courage, faith, light and love, rolled into one splendid example of how to make dreams, ideas and visions come true.”  It also applauded his leadership in providing a respectful, inclusive work environment.

In his current role, Bryant leads and manages more than 400 engineers and technicians worldwide.  Since joining Kodak in 1988, he has held a variety of engineering and management positions in Quality Assurance, Mechanical Process Development, Rapid Protot

yping, Strategic Business Development, and the Chief Technical Office.
Bryant is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  He also earned an M.S. degree in Mathematics and Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
