What are your areas of interest and expertise related to workforce diversity?
Our main objective is to hopefully increase diversity at BMW NA. Additionally, we would like to generate a more public awareness of our brand and our HQ’s location.
What projects are you focusing on within your organization to advance the understanding of diversity in the workplace?
Our diversity initiatives have the interest from the Executives, which we feel is of great value. Currently, we have set specific internal objectives to strive for increasing our diversity numbers. Additionally, we have a diversity committee that meets regularly to discuss increasing knowledge across the organization.
What initiatives are you working on outside of your organization to advance the understanding of diversity?
At the moment, joining organizations such as yours will assist us in broadening outside knowledge of our organization. We also make it priority to work with minority owned businesses and have been recognized as an organization that values diversity in its vendor selection. This goal is accomplished through our Procurement group.
How do you expect membership in the WDN benefit your organization? We hope that this relationship will assist the general public in learning about BMW of North America, LLC, in addition, to assisting us with finding qualified diverse applicants for our open positions.
