To Affinity and Beyond offers a dynamic professional development opportunity for participants. The program will have immediate applications and lead to self awareness, insights on diversity-related issues in career development, and approaches to overcoming barriers to success.

Deb Koen is president & CEO of Career Development Services (www.careerdev.org), the leading-edge career management organization. Deb conducts peak performance programs to develop individual and organizational potential. Along with presenting for The Wall Street Journal’s Executive Diversity Career Fairs, Deb coaches, consults and presents nationally on career management, transitions, and women in the workforce.  She regularly conducts leadership development programs for the International Visitors Leadership Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

Deb is a co-author of Career Choice, Change & Challenge (Jist, 2000) and a columnist for the business section of Gannett’s Democrat & Chronicle.  Along with developing customized online career sites for organizations, Deb’s work on employee development and job enrichment is published in Training & Development, Career Planning and Adult Development Journal and The Organization Development Sourcebook.

 After more than 25 years in the Corporate, Education, and Government world, Clay Osborne, President of the True Insights Consulting LLC, an executive coaching and team development practice, brings a rich mix of corporate senior leadership, and academic wisdom to his clients. He is a recognized talent in the areas of human resources, organizational effectiveness, team development, diversity and talent management.

Clays last role prior to creating his coaching and consulting practice was as Vice President, Human Resources, Talent Management, Learning and Diversity for Bausch + Lomb, a global health care company. He also led the HR Dept. for the company’s Research & Development function. During his tenure in those roles Bausch & Lomb received national recognition for many of the programs under his leadership.

Clay joined Bausch + Lomb (B+L) in 1992 as Director of Employee Relations and progressively assumed greater responsibilities within the company, including roles as Vice President for Global Staffing, Employee Relations, Privacy, Employee Engagement, Health & Wellness and cross functional responsibility for Ethics Compliance programs. Clay has a BA, and MSW from the State University of N.Y. at Albany.
He is licensed counselor (LCSW), and Certified as a Team Advantage Coach. He has extensive experience coaching executives and leaders internal to Bausch + Lomb, and as an external coach to business, education and not or profit leaders.

Currently, in addition to his coaching and organizational effectiveness work, Clay is an adjunct professor at the St.John Fisher College, Executive Leadership Program where he teaches Leadership and Human Capital Management to students earning Doctorates in Education and Executive Leadership. He also consults in the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Leadership Institute, where he is a Minnett Professor Emeritus

Prior to Bausch & Lomb, Clay served in positions of significant responsibility including Deputy County Executive for Operations, Monroe County, NY; Regional Director for the NY State Division for Youth, and Asst. Professor, Social Work at RIT. Early in his career he also served as Human Resource Manager for the Schaffer Brewing Company.

Clay received his Masters and Bachelors degrees from the State University of New York at Albany, and completed all of the course work towards a Doctorate in Education from the University of Mass. at Amherst.

Lastly, Mr. Osborne‘s leadership and involvement in the Rochester community is well known and recognized. He is a member of the Boards of the ESL Federal Credit Union  (Chair Compensation Comm.), Lead Director, Eltrex Co. Inc., The University of Rochester Eye institute and Chair of the Workforce Diversity Network. He also serves on the advisory boards of the Forte Capital Financial Co., and the Tomkins Financial Inc. He previously served as chair of several not for profit Boards including the Center for Governmental Research  (CGR) and Career Development Services  (CDS). Currently he serves on the boards of CGR, The University of Rochester Eye Institute, and chairs the Workforce Diversity Network board.

Clay has built a reputation as an innovative, strategic thinker, a can do person with a vast network of professional partners and acquaintances across the world. He continues to learn and share his passion for coaching leaders and consulting in the areas of strategic team alignment, change management, org. effectiveness and diversity. Clay is married to Dorelis, a retired elementary school teacher. He has two sons and two grand children, all boys.
